Coffee quality lies in the seed extraction and the sorting techniques. We should however remember that its packaging and shipping to the countries where it is marketed, play a fundamental role. Coffee beans can easily absorb a lot of moisture if they are initially not stored properly and this negatively affects the final quality and taste of the coffee.
Our coffee beans are transported in sisal or jute bags of 60kg each. These fabrics help prevent excessive moisture from entering the coffee beans. This also protects the beans from other external agents like sunlight and heat, thus extending the life of the beans.
Coffee production in Uganda is one of the main agricultural activities for many Ugandan families and it is the main source of income for many families. At Pezam, we go to different villages allover Uganda in areas where coffee is grown and buy the coffee from family to family. We take the responsibility to buy the best coffee to satisfy our clients.
